David began his career in finance within the accounts department at Brewin Dolphin before transitioning to a front-office role in the Private Client division. It was in this role that David truly found his passion, gaining a deep understanding of the investment process and recognising the significant impact a skilled adviser can make. After successfully completing his CISI Level 6 exams, he earned the designation of Chartered Wealth Manager.

Following this, David took on leadership roles, managing trading floors at several smaller investment firms. During this time, he identified a critical gap in the market: traditional banks were charging excessive, opaque fees for foreign currency transactions while customer service standards were declining. This insight led him to establish Sapphire FX, a platform designed to offer simple, cost-effective currency exchange solutions with a strong focus on personalised service and dedicated account management.

Outside of his professional pursuits, David is deeply committed to his local community. He serves as an on-call firefighter for his local town and is actively involved in managing and training grassroots sports teams.

Simon is a highly experienced professional who has spent over 35 years in Barclays, holding various roles in Barclays UK, Investment Bank and Technology Services. Simon's expertise lies in his ability to drive change and implement successful solutions in large corporate organisations, as evidenced by his contributions to the development of a new HR advice and guidance function and the setup of an infrastructure delivery function within the technology area.

Simon's strong leadership skills and his understanding of technology delivery have enabled him to translate technology delivery into customer service, making him an effective head of Service Delivery for an international bank. He has also played a significant role in remedying a service delivery function in Johannesburg and has set up and run a program called 'Branch Out,' linking technology leaders to branch colleagues in retail branches to bring a fresh approach to customer service.

Melvyn has spent the majority of his career in London's renowned "Square Mile." He began his journey at Smith Brothers straight out of school, where his dedication and expertise led to him becoming a Member of the Stock Exchange and a Stock Jobber on the iconic market floor.

After 14 successful years at Smith Brothers, Melvyn continued to build his career at prestigious financial institutions, including BZW, Kleinwort Benson, and Nomura, where he served as a market maker.

Throughout his career, Melvyn has specialised in managing and trading for high-net-worth individuals, earning a reputation for his precision and deep market knowledge.

Outside of work, Melvyn enjoys Pickleball, amateur dramatics, politics, and football, maintaining a well-rounded and active lifestyle.

Jerome studied Business Studies at university in Leeds before beginning his career at Cantor Fitzgerald as a Sales Trader, specialising in global equities for a diverse client base. After gaining valuable experience in the financial sector, he transitioned to the recruitment industry, where he worked with leading agencies. Most recently, Jerome played a key role at Wolt, helping to launch Wolt Market across multiple European countries.

Throughout his career, Jerome has been dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, a commitment he is excited to bring to Sapphire FX.

A passionate sports enthusiast, Jerome proudly represented Great Britain in football at the 2001 Maccabiah Games.

Stan began his career straight out of school on the trading floor of the London Stock Exchange, gaining invaluable experience in financial markets. He later joined Brewin Dolphin, where he spent the majority of his career, ultimately becoming a Divisional Director in the Private Client division.

In this role, Stan specialised in managing the portfolios of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, delivering tailored financial solutions and building trusted, long-term relationships. With decades of expertise, he is committed to providing exceptional wealth management services to help clients achieve their financial goals.

With over a decade of professional experience, Gemma has built an impressive career, starting as a Claims Handler at LV= and progressing to her role as Company Director of a claims management firm. Along the way, she has developed extensive expertise in both claims management and marketing.

As a Marketing Specialist at Sapphire FX, Gemma focuses on creating and executing marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive customer engagement. Her responsibilities include managing digital campaigns, optimising SEO, and utilising data-driven insights to continuously improve marketing efforts.
